we went up for the weekend to shoot a GOOOOORGEOUS wedding at this winery. we obviously love our kids but gosh… some time away is always SO nice. i think it should be mandatory that every couple go away for one weekend every few months! 🙂 it was our first time leaving elsie overnight, for two nights…. i am happy to report that she did a great job. i was so relieved! (and so was grandma!) 🙂 🙂 🙂

btw jae had a blast w/mama and cousins 🙂 and els…such a big girl, not so shy anymore, giving loves, hugs and couple of kisses too 🙂 love it. maybe cuz i smothered the rest of the kiddo’s before..but it’s sooo hard for me NOT to pick els up and smother her w/hugs & kisses…but then worth it when i ask once, for a hug and kiss and there’s no hesitation ,awwww, now i miss els:(

I totally agree. Kids are sweet and wonderful… but I love to spend time with my hubby, just the two of us. When we do, it’s like we’re newlyweds again… 🙂

I miss the Bay Area sometimes. I grew up there as well…born in SF, raised in the East Bay in a small town called Hercules. yea, you read right. next time you’re up there, you’ll have to go to the Marin County side of the Golden Gate Bridge. it’s beautiful up there.
