since this month’s theme at 2peas is ‘everyday’- i’ve got it on my mind! here’s a shot from today. it is such an everyday shot.

that chair that is framing her foot (oh so cutely, i might add!) is her chair. she sits in that everyday with her booster seat. almost everytime i take the tray out to set her free, she climbs for the table top. she has a thing for toothbrushes. 🙂 see..

everyday that table she’s sitting on gets bombarded with school work, art work, mail, food, cups, plates, everything. it’s a magnet for stuff. it drives me crazy to the point where i don’t even want to bother cleaning it off. lol. everyday i race to cross things off my list while she’s asleep. it’s a 2-3 hour window where the big kids are at school and all is quiet. unfortunately for my family, my list of priorities when i have alone time are: scrapbooking and computer stuff. lol. so what doesn’t get done while she naps is housework. sorry guys. 🙂

it’s my favorite month! and the garden is up at 2peas. here’s my fave i did this month:

i am crazy for this paper mix and loving the ki surprise line. all of it is so fun. the stickers, paper, epoxies.. even the letter rubs. i’m over rubons but these ones are so cute. 🙂

she is 14 months today:

she is crazy busy walking all over the place.. totally loving the outside. everytime she hears a door open, she makes a mad dash to get out. and of course there are lots of tears when we drag her inside. here she is greeting daddy coming home from work! she loves the broom.

they like making messes with the leaves then sweeping them up. how productive! 🙂 caleb is in a cowboy phase right now. but will sure turn to a spiderman phase again once he sees the movie this weekend. 🙂

last weekend my SIL was in town..oooh elsie looks like she is missing a hand.. that’s what you get when you pluck her fingers out of her mouth while taking a picture. 🙂

and we saw my BIL’s in West Side Story. very emotional for the fam..his last high school play and all. he did an amazing job!

when we came home from the play, it just happened to be on TV.. we watched a bit and cam said.. "the ending is so sad. actually, the whole thing is just so sad." he’s so cute. 🙂

and we had a face painter at church. so sweet to see kira still into the face painting.

yes, these 2 are all up in the face paint. cammy isn’t the face paint type. nor the sticker or stamp type. anything that adheres to your skin that doesn’t normally belong.. it’s not his thing. 🙂

they are almost gone folks! ali’s kit of the month! i think it’s so cool that they show you how many are left.. and there aren’t many so go get ’em! it was a super fun kit to work with…ali coolness throughout!  🙂 if you click on the gallery- there’s lots of eye candy! (mom- don’t go there!!!) 🙂

today, chris was reading a magazine  and they talked about this sandwich that is just sinful. oh my.

paula deen had the recipe on foodnetwork.com. just lovely 🙂

and here’s one of our fridge monger… it’s blurry and not great.. but as i was about to delete.. i saw them.. her little baby dimples on the back of her elbow and back of her hand. awwwwwwwwwwwww.

i have an older brother. and he’s married to my good friend, jenn, and they have a sweet daughter, jaeden.

they have been in my pages before… so you might know that already. but i also have 2 younger brothers.

we haven’t seen them much lately.. even though they live relatively close by.. life has gotten in the way..but we saw them last sunday. the kids had so much fun with them. and now, so quickly.. i can’t believe it.. the older one is off to college. COLLEGE. his name is justin. i remember when my stepmom just had him, my dad called me from the hospital and i said.. ‘name him justin’. 🙂 i was surprised they listened! 🙂

they are really close though.. and to think that one will be without the other next year makes me sad for them. i hope my boys stay close like they are. total opposites.. but best friends. both sets of boys.

chris’ brother is also off to college this sept. i think you guys know him. tudor. 🙂 i can’t imagine what it’s going to be like when he’s not across the street anymore.

comes on thursday and i am so excited to spend time with her. she is wonderful. 🙂

and so there you go. 3 brothers on my side. the only gal. but i grew up with these gals….closest i had to actual sisters.

and now i am blessed with great sister in laws from my brother and my husband. 🙂 if i could have stayed closer to my siblings as i was growing up.. i would have…if i knew what that tie meant. i want it for my kids and am going to do everything i can to support that. it breaks my heart to see my little brothers grow up and wonder where the heck have i been? 😦

and today’s random finding. cute when you find it on the floor a few minutes later. would not be cute a week later. 🙂
elsie now knows how to open the fridge..(one of her favorite hangouts) and i am dreading the day she figures out how to open these yogurt containers up. she knows we pour them in her sippy cups.. she must have gotten confused.

she is becoming such a little person.. doing her own little thing.. sooooo sweet! 🙂

we went from a glorious day like this: (we met daddy for lunch at the library the other day.. no she didn’t drink the diet coke. or cut herself on the can.) 🙂

to a cold, rainy, windy, gloomy one. not my kind of day at all! 😦 that was yesterday. and i got locked out of my house for half the day. as soon as i closed the door with elsie in my arms, i knew.. the keys were left inside. sigh. thank god for my mil who rescued me. it was a half day without a baba for els though… and we are thinking it should be our farewell to the thing.. but we will see. daddy and i are having issues about our last baby being done with her bottle 😦

auntie jenn… caleb really liked his buzz cup you gave him.. and so did elsie. she has taken it over. i need to go stock up on these cups. she has her own straw sippy cups, but you cannot compete with this glorious goblet!

since it rained.. sports are cancelled today.. what oh what are we going to do? 🙂
i did read a total fluff mindless book in the last 24 hours.. if you feel like ignoring your household a bit to do the same.. it’s called momzillas.

this is one of the midmonth features i always look forward to seeing! i love participating in it because it is rather fun to watch it unfold (yes, simple things that amuse me, i know) 🙂
i thought i would point you over there and add some commentary to this layout that nearly made me throw it out the window.
you see that i follow stacey and she is the queen of cool color combos so i went with that. green, easy, blue, easy, lavendar– not easy. i had to dig for some lavendar. purples have to be my least favorite color, which is strange considering it was the color of my bridal party in my wedding. hm.
anyways, back to the layout. clearly this is somewhat entertaining for the .02 percent of you scrapbookers out there who are curious about one’s process. 🙂
the first lesson here would be you need to buy 2 of every sheet of paper you like. if i had 2 of that gorgeous tres jolie paper.. i wouldn’t have had to improvise. because it started out a 12×12.. then went to an 81/2×11 then to a horizontal layout. i was having major issues at this point. i wanted to keep that cool border i made so i had to rip it apart a few times while changing my background. sigh. that is too much work for me. but i know i needed to salvage that cute thing. i originally had a big white heidi swapp bird where the flower was but it just didn’t GO. then i went with the big cut out flower. yes, liked that much better. stamped my title. cute. handwrote my journaling on photo. ohhhh why did i do that? i didn’t like that. and if i had a double of that photo i woul dhave tossed that handwritten version. i matted the photo with that AL green paper and it’s tilted on purpose- not very like me.. but was calling for a tilt. added the brads and the stitching… was glad i managed to save that pathetic little rectangle of the jolie paper and was totally giddy to find the blue scenic route background paper that matched nicely.
i glued it all down and called it done.
way too much gluing and ripping on this one.
but in the end… i liked it mucho. 🙂
it doesn’t usually go like this.. which is why i felt compelled to blog about it. 🙂 thank you.

just when we found THE thing to get the kids excited about brushing their teeth….it gets recalled. so. not. cool.

last weekend was mighty nice for the waters family. saturday was filled with sports, of course.

as we drove to the ballpark, i snapped this for you loyal brothers and sisters watchers– this is where kitty was interviewing the senator’s ex-girlfriend and the giant artichoke walked by. (omg, how random does that sound?? if you don’t watch the show, that must sound so strange. lol)

and on sunday we veged out and did nada. my kind of day.. totally! over the last few days, we noticed how much elsie has found her way when playing with the big kids. they just mesh. every now and then they will lock her out of the room.. but her screams and cries quickly make them bring her back in. 🙂 they watch out for her. they are so protective of her. i am so proud of the way they love her. the whole age difference between them and her.. i thought it would be a bit much at first.. but now.. i wouldn’t change it for the world. despite the way it looks in this photo, it IS a loving relationship LOL. 🙂

again.. she does not need the fancy toys.. she has little interest in them.. it’s the little things she loves so much. 🙂

just when i thought her tastes were getting too pricey for us…i just got back from target with her where she debated for awhile whether she would spend a few bucks on lip gloss. that’s my girl. 🙂

i got a sweet email from someone the other day wondering why i haven’t been posting and replied that i just haven’t had much to say… lots of fluff but nothing terribly exciting. she replied that she liked reading my fluff. so in case you do too, here’s today’s fluff. 🙂 and i am not just talking about her hair. 🙂

i am so sorry she has a mom who forgets about the girly details. i rarely dress her in dresses, i rarely take the time to comb and brush her hair. 🙂 chris ends up doing it. i am used to my boys who have ‘wake up and go’ hair! and thank god kira is old enough to take care of hers herself! i do appreciate her curls though, so i am going to try and do better. sheesh. 🙂

i can’t tell you how many times i find her here. this is the snack cabinet. her favorite: raisins. she thinks she likes the granola bars and i tell everyone.. don’t open the granola bars for her.. she doesn’t eat them!!! what do we do? we can’t resist her and we open the granola bar. 🙂 who could resist her in her gauchos? seriously, i melt!

this boy cracks us up. he always has issues with his pants. did you see the last post where he had on holy jeans? i said no more holy jeans. you have to start wearing these lovely new pants. he pitched a fit.. he doesn’t like the way the cargo pocket feels on his skin. you’re kidding me. kid, you are wearing them. more fit, more fit, more fit. a few hours later.. cakes- what’s up with the pants? oh, they’re fine! 🙂 (of course!)

i love how the boys can use the last few minutes in the morning before school starts to play stuff. then they leave it there and when i pick them up, the first thing caleb says is: wanna finish playing?!? love it.

you don’t know how hard it is for me not to eat the kids candy. mmmm. lindt chocolate!!!

and the kid’s crosses from church on sunday. caleb says, i used red for the blood of christ. nice! 🙂

it is windy today!!!! see my wind chimes?! the power already went out, the street lights are all out and the windows are rattling! what’s up with that? elsie is so funny in the wind. i need to get a pic of her!

and flowers from the garden. mom was here over the weekend and put some in a jar for me. of course she did.. because jamie doesn’t do things like that! she also cleaned off our surfaces.. a very nice treat for chris.. he loves clean surfaces. we also got to go on a few dates. major treats for us. we appreciate mucho. xoxoox

oh and did you see last sunday’s brothers and sisters??? the artichoke town where they filmed is ours!!! we saw them filming and were amazed to see it on air already! the new nancy drew movie that’s out soon was also filmed here.. at the church where c and i got married! and the scary new halloween movie was also filmed here.. cam and chris saw it during a night run. crazy to see them transform a street into  halloween when it’s not!

we are here. 🙂 mom always has a hard time getting back into the swing of things after a school break. here are a few pics though, of course! these were the day before easter.. at an egg hunt at church.

she got a purse and girl stuff for her bday from auntie jenn and she is so ready to go! she sees her siblings and dad get their bags and say bye in the morning.. she gets hers and says, BYE! 🙂 here she is with her phone. she was so cute. she totally knew what to do with all the stuff inside the purse- the lipstick, comb and hello?! of course the phone! 🙂

she got a few shots this morning for her 12 mo checkup. poor honey. but man she is strong! dad, me and 2 nurses had to hold her down.
thanks for all the comments on the ESPN post. thank GOD chris did that to the video.. since mom taped over it a few days later. that is SUCH a mom thing to do! UGH!
