you know, like in finding nemo?! 🙂 elsie gets a kick out of seeing herself in the mirror. everytime. big smiles. here she looks like such a KID to me! i mean… where is my 6 month old?!

not much to say. saturdays filled with soccer. getting into our school routine. it’s really sinking in with caleb that he has to go to school 5 days a week and actually has homework. lol. i have been procrastinating. blah, blah, blah. i did try and get a nice new lens today and our camera store was sold out. total buzz kill. 🙂

my internet connection has been wonky lately. hate that! so a quick post before i’m not able to get on again.

kira picked this cute turtle for her sister. how could i resist? every girl should have a pink turtle for the bath! she really loves this thing. 🙂

soccer season has started. kira is in a new division which means a HUGE field to run around on. cam kicked butt at his first game. BOTH kids scored goals- we were so excited! i wonder how the kids feel to see their big waters clan on the sidelines cheering for them. we get rather giddy out there! 🙂

in other news.. caleb already has his halloween costume all planned out. he wants to be aang from avatar – he wants chris to be appa, his flying bison, and elsie to be momo, his pet lemur.  i think she has the lemur’s eyes! 🙂 yes, we are all about the avatar in this house! 🙂

that’s what the school crossing guard said to me this morning. ha! who says that still?! lol

well we made it. our first week back at school. and yes i totally consider myself back to school since i have the craziest pick up/drop off schedule… with a baby in tow. i miss school buses! kira loves middle school. i love driving by it at random times of the day and trying to see her. cam has his best friend in his class. caleb is quite the stickler to rules in kindergarten and i am so proud of him! 🙂

a very rare treat for me. not her being in my arms.. but being in my arms while asleep! after SO many years of putting my other kids to sleep like this.. it is so weird not to do that with els. she doesn’t like to be rocked to sleep. she wants to be put in bed and will do it herself. but this morning, i got a treat. she wanted me and i soaked it all up. mmmmmmmmm… sweet smelling baby head all in my neck. 🙂 🙂 🙂

when you tell people your baby is six months.. it’s like a whole other age group- she’s not with the itty bitty newborns anymore. she is at that next stage. the stage that is hardest for me. hardest to keep up with but at the same time, hardest to say goodbye to once she reaches her next stage.

so here she is— all giggly and gorgeous.

sitting up well…loving her solids…especially bananas…mommy is loving making elsie’s food at home…just started doing the blinky-pretty-eyes/scrunchy nose thing when she is flirting…wakes up at 445 every morning to chat to herself and falls back asleep (thank goodness!!!!)…then wakes up at 700-730 for the day….naps 3-4 times (which i am sure will totally fall apart once school starts tomorrow)…doesn’t care about her toys.. but loves everything she can’t have- Ziploc bags, Grocery bags, plastic packaging… she loves ribbons and straps to her carseat/stroller…sucks her thumb with her fingers out like she is playing the trumpet…not one bit interested in crawling.. is perfectly happy being carried around on my hip all day (eeeeek my back!)

so i was in the middle of major scrap productivity yesterday and didn’t want to get sucked into the computer. sorry auts. 🙂
here they are!

everyday we had different people come visit us. it was so nice to have everyone there! i love the kitchen and the eat in area. i love the big windows that look out at the ocean. i love that elsie will keep her hat and sunglasses on. i love bonfires and smores!

i love falling asleep and waking to the sound of the ocean right outside the balcony. i love the kids playing outside for hours. i love barbecuing!

love that we did this so late in august– that school starts next tues– and that it was the perfect way to end our summer.

after a glorious stay at the beach…summer is officially over….more pics later today.

for things to blog about. i’ve been hoarding pics and stories to scrap. and just feeling blah about the blog in general. here’s one- the girls had a playdate yesterday. look how cute they are in their matching babystyle (eeek as i went to link that, i saw that the sale is now to 50% off!)

yeah so i am a total onesie mom. i pretty much leave elsie in her onesie from bedtime unless she drools too much or has an accident… then i put her in another onesie. i looked at her closet full of pretty dresses and decided everytime we go out she will wear a dress. she already does for church, but thought i would go ahead and include trips to the PO and grocery store too. this is what she thinks about the dresses:

my 3 goobs will be in school.(minus the mohawk!) AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! does it sound like i am sad about that or very excited? it’s very weird because this was to be the time where i would be alone.. maybe get a parttime job or something.. the first time in 11 years to have some me time 5 days a week… but noooo… hello elsie. 🙂 just kidding. i’m very excited to have some alone time with her…but i think she’s going to miss the entertainment the big kids provide. 😦

chris and i went out on sat night and we saw this really funny movie. i love it when he takes me to see something that i have no clue about and i walk out of the theatre looooving it. i also love dates… and we’ve been understandably deprived lately.

it seems in just a few days, she is really getting the hang of it. now, she can sit up for a lot longer. neat!

i know that many of my pics might look the same.. but i can totally see a difference.. a little change of expression, a different spark in her eye, i see it… it’s a whole new elsie. in this one, she’s pursing her lips oh so cutely.

i am so glad we decided to break up our vacations into 2 smaller ones this summer. now that this one is over, we still have one more to look forward to! here’s pics galore!
