How is it almost MARCH already!? 2015 is zooming by, sigh. I was tickled to have a layout on the official Sneak of Odyssey Kits! Awwww, it had to be a Jonathan Canlas photo of course! :)

Never did I think I could pull off a Disney page! Woohoo!

These are all a mix of the addons, the scrapbook kit and some digital embellishments. My faves! I've been having fun with those and will be posting a separate post for some of the things I've been making!

I loved this kit so much! There were so many pieces that just screamed happy to me! I love the pop of yellow that made it into the kit too.

So many cute patterned papers, I may have gotten carried away with the mixing on a few of them. 🙂 I'm just happy I have a layout with my whole family represented!

CHA 2015

A few of the things that caught my eye at CHA! And a little video Amy and I put together at the end of this post! :)

Loved the string art at Amy's booth. I made Kira a little one for Christmas so I know what a lot of work that takes! Also felt like a bit of a rebel with my temporary tattoo from Amy's booth!

Who isn't a fan of Vanessa's work? Love her new collab with Becky Higgins. That color palette!

As I say in the video, the My Mind's Eye booth was one of my favorites! All the details are way too cute. They're so clever! I have serious pillow envy.

That globe! They're cool without paint but with paint, so lovely! Adding this on my list of projects I want to do in 2015!

I've been a fan of gallery walls forever. Me and My Big Idea had a very impressive one!

I thought I got a photo of the new albums by Seven Paper, I couldn't find it. But these stickers! So Kate Spade, pretty and classy!

Lastly, this line from Simple Stories really spoke to me, as a mother with 2 daughters, I could wrote a whole other post on this alone! I can't wait to get this stuff and dive in and possibly make a very meaningful book for my girls and possibly one for myself even. Lots of powerful messages that take this craft to a whole other meaning!

The finds posted here (besides the My Mind's Eye booth that I oodled at) are different than on the video below!) And Amy has her 5 as well!

the rest of my december daily, at least it’s not february yet!

I only made it to day 20. And I'm almost at February to post them. But I got 2 days farther than last time! And I'm glad I did it and most likely will tackle it again this year! :)

As I got to about here, I wanted to conserve space and try to fit more than a day per spread. Thus, the flap journaling here.

I couldn't resist showing some of the Renegade Fair business cards though, too cute.

And that's it. I blame it partly on this particular year's Christmas as too hectic. I didn't get enough down time. Totally going to change that from here on out. Started 2015 exhausted and overwhelmed. But all good now! 🙂 Here's to making choices for the better. Sometimes I NEED to see some of my favorite quotes on Pinterest, they ring true and I want to shout them from the rooftops and print them and display them all over my walls. Hope they inspire you as well 🙂

Done! Did! :) my new pinterest board

I've seen these kinds of boards for awhile and finally decided to make one as well! I've been cooking and making from my pinterest account only for a year- I was so pro Tumblr and didn't want to start a new obsession. Ahh, I caved a year ago. Well now with the new year, I decided to tackle what's on my boards and thought I could attempt to keep track on my new Done! Did! Board. I'm including recipes, party decor, activities I've done with Elsie and whatever else I actually end up making/doing from Pinterest. It's become sort of a challenge! I'd love to see your favorite pins and eventually add them to my Done! Did! Board too!

creative handbook

Yesterday was a holiday and after a weekend of not doing a whole lot around the house, I decided we should go to the beach! We live in a warm area, not too far from the ocean, why don't we go there more often?! We got lucky. Not a lot of people and perfect weather! I brought along a little stash of goodies to play with on the beach.

first book of the year!

It's gonna be a weekend of reading, starting a few days ago! I read one of these already. Are you on Goodreads? If we are friends, there's a high chance I've stalked your feed. I love a good book but I need you to vouch for it first. Most of the books I've picked up are ones that were rated 4 and 5s from people I "know" on GR. Most of the time I agree with them 🙂 I don't like anything too heavy or stale. Gotta keep me interested by Chapter 3 or I'm on to the next one :)

studio calico sneaks + intentions of catching up

I am so behind! I went to CHA last week, I still have my Dec Daily to post and I thought of some random life things I can post as well. I need a better system! And I am determined to find it! I feel like when I say I'll do it instead of thinking it, there's a better chance of it coming into fruition. For now, here's some February Studio Calico Cirque sneaks! This kit makes me so happy! happy new year!

Our family on Christmas Day. I haven't made Christmas cards in years but I always appreciate the ones we receive in the mail! Don't give up on us, one of these days I'll get it together! I had some amazing photos over the year but always manage to be missing a child (or me!) in the photo. This one below is probably my highlight of 2014. Taken the night before New Year's Eve. Our big family piled in for a nighttime cuddle, knowing it's New Year's Eve the next night and the 2 older kids will be off in other places celebrating.

Every year I make the mental resolution to exercise and I never follow through. I fight my own battles within my own head and heart that keep me from being my best. I stumbled upon this on Pinterest and it has resonated with me since. My words board on Pinterest is one of my favorites. I can scroll through for a dose of encouragment but this needs to be printed for constant reminder. Lovely words. My 2015 Mantra:

month 1 and thoughts about diving back in

It's reveal day! So today is my first time contributing to the reveal at Studio Calico. When I first received my kit, I was giddy about diving in. I slowly unpackaged everything, fondled it all, then put it back away. I did this about 3 separate times until I realized I needed to just dive back in. To say I was intimidated was an understatement. I feel like the scrapbooking industry has changed so much. While I was immersed in it for 10 straight years, I took a hiatus for the last 3 years. Lots of changes took place and I found myself wondering if I had changed at all or if I was still stuck in 2011. One of the reasons I had taken a break from scrapbooking was my need for privacy for my kids as they were getting older. Though I still struggle with that and go back and forth on it, I definitely found myself witholding during my journaling this time around. Journaling is one of my favorite things and one of the things I treasure most about scrapbooking. I realize that these pages were baby steps and that I know as time goes by I will be able to journal more openly.

I'm so thankful for this opportunity and look forward to this year of kits I get to play with! I really loved this Far Far Away kit. It's whimisical and fun, perfect way to start off the New Year! Besides this layout, I made a few Christmas gifts that I gave away, I'll be posting them here next week.
