i've got nothing!!!!!! but this one measly layout! 
when we are busy with jac– i tend to forget to take photos for myself. boo! 😦 we've had 3 weddings in the last 2 weeks. this weekend we have NOTHING on our plates, no sports, no shoots… i have nothing on my plate but to sleep in! it's been so hard for me to get up in the mornings! i've already got summer-itis. 🙂 we've got 2 children graduating this year. cam from 5th grade and kira from 8th grade. i'm gonna be a wreck! 😦 we've got the girls outfits picked out, now to spiffy up my boys! i totally want to put cam in a sweater vest but i highly doubt he will have anything to do with it 🙂
can you believe we haven't watched the season finale of grey's yet?! if we watch it then that means it's over. officially nothing exciting to watch for a few months. 😦 we may just have to start friday night lights over again!
what else. i haven't scrapped in a few weeks and did so today with my good friend brooke. good fun! see that butterfly paper up there? heidi swapp. love it! love that it pops up like that.
i've had such a major sweet tooth lately. especially at night! i need to go to the store and stock up on late night treats, pronto! last night totally sucked because the lack of sweets in the house!
ok, that's it. that's random and my life as of right now. 🙂 have a great weekend people. if you still come to this lonely blog that i hardly update anymore, wow, and im sorry! i need to get better. i was looking at newborn pics of elsie today and it made me sad that i haven't updated much.
mother’s day birthday
this year my birthday landed on mother's day. when i was a kid, that happened a lot. i don't remember having a lot of birthday parties but i do remember the ones that i did have, i would get declines as kids would be spending the day with the mothers— and now as a mother, i see, that's exactly how it should be! 🙂 i got some fun goodies for my birthday, clothes and new flipflops. but it's the handmade i love most 🙂 i love chris' wrapping. good boy. 🙂 
weeks ago, he scoured the artstore and paper source for just the right papers to make this for me. my own little polaroid book to carry around. the cover is made of lovely japanese silk. 
he also purchased this art piece. we shot an engagement shoot at the lab recently and i fell in love with so many peices in the gallery! little did i know, he went back and got it for me.

my mom and me — i got my mother in law that necklace for mother's day and chris surprised me with my own for my birthday! yay! we'll be matchy matchy 🙂
mom came up to watch the kids as chris and i went on a birthday date. so grateful for all the time she gives not only chris and i to get away on dates but for all the wedding watching she does. we could not do it without her. (and her workload is about to get crazy busy as we enter a very hectic next couple of wedding weekends!) we are so thankful!
my mom got a little herb garden. planted with love by her granddaughters 🙂 they totally helped and didnt ditch me halfway through 🙂 
my mom loves gardening and cooking so we thought it was most appropriate 🙂 
my mother in law gave me an amazing gift. she gave me her time and energy as she helped me reorganize my kitchen and living room (aka elsie's toys) and i am so grateful. it has been a huge process and i am just amazed at her eagerness to help me. im ever so thankful.
i hope your mother's day was ever so special and sweet.
post national scrapbook day
i spent my national scrapbook day in newport beach at reflections. we taught photography/scrapbooking workshops and it was awesome. the ladies were attentive, laughed at chris' jokes, and made pretty things with cute supplies. i got to see my good friends shannon and brooke and even one of our future brides! i still need to go through some of our weekend pictures, but thought i'd share some of my 2p layouts that went up on the first. since it was NSD, the GG's posted layouts by members we are inspired by. gluestick girl:

i can't believe how hot it is! i knew that perfect 75 degree weather last week was too good to last! 🙂 we're mostly staying indoors with the AC, so when she requests to at least step outside, how could i resist? 15 min of bubbles is what i agreed to. 🙂 ha!

i've been scrapping a lot lately and it's just fun. i love it so much. 🙂 i just filled up another album and was making a mental note to pick up a new one, then last night i was cleaning out my closetand found a brand new one waiting for me. so nice to find treats like that! 🙂
i've been really bad about updating this blog. will be trying to get better about it next week. i am on facebook lots. 🙂 and am trying to get my twitter and facebook to be one. but as i am getting impatient with trying to figure it out, i'm wondering why i'm even doing it. it's just one more thing that i am sure i don't really need. 🙂

i see they are all of elsie. going to scrap today, my other children! 🙂 we've been busy with baseball-tonight we have 2 games back to back, i'll be bringing our dinner in containers and eating it there. it's been amazing to watch elsie grow through the baseball seasons. the first year, we sat in the car alot listening to the backyardigans, last year she sat at my feet and did sidewalk chalk for hours, this year, she's climbing the hillside and digging holes with all the big kids. amazing! and not that we didn't already have a full sports schedule, kira has been invited to join a spring soccer league, that plays 2 games every saturday! it's going to be crazy as our wedding schedule (if you haven't been to the site in awhile, check it out, i finally added last year's images to the site!) is starting up as well, but we are so happy for her and it's good for her! 🙂 we like our teenager busy in sports rather than being distracted by those mysterious boys! 🙂

elsie and i volunteered at his valentine party today. i love how all the girls in his class are such mother hens- running up to E and loving on her. she loves it too 🙂 outside the school:

after me spewing out numerous directions to my numerous children, elsie: mom, stop whining.
and ever so dramatically- out of nowhere she will say in her princess voice, i never dreamed!
on our way to have a picnic yesterday, i realized it was too cold outside (55degrees), so we sat in the car with our lunch. elsie pleads with me to go outside. i open the door and let her out. (she's like my little puppy- lol) and she's running on the grass (right outside my car door, as i sit in the seat and watch her from the warm car) barefoot- come and join me, it will be fun! (i do not, i stay inside) then 2 minutes later, it sure is cold, im coming back in!
while chris is giving her a huge dose of squeezes and kisses and she cannot get away, she says- my brothers will destroy you. (that is said in a star wars voice- not to be taken seriously people)
she's pretty funny. to us at least 🙂
seven years ago today!
it seems a lot of reminiscing is going on here! :) well, here's my seven year 2peas anniversary story– it's their 10 year this year so it seems fitting to celebrate my 7th!
seven years ago, we were living on the east coast, in virginia beach- far from our family. the internet must not have been that huge to me at that point in my life, (i mean i know i wasn't addicted to checking my email every 5 minutes, i may not have even had an email account at that time!) as i was really big into sending my family cards with photos of our family. i had been introduced to stampin up and immediately fell in love. i remember going to a stampin up party and coming home and telling chris how much i loved it- he must have thought i was crazy for sure. anyways, late one night while browsing card sites, i stumbled upon 2peas– they had a card section that i browsed, but it was when i made my way over to the black and white section- i knew that was it. i always had thought scrapbooking was sorta cheesy before- but once i saw this gallery, i knew this is the way i wanted to scrapbook. there in the gallery were 3 ladies who inspired me so much- tara, cathy and joy U,– i will always think of them when i remember this story. this was when simple was in it's beginning phases. and so i started out categorized as that. simple. anyways, if i didn't have an internet addiction before, i clearly had one then… i would check the gallery constantly and began posting myself. two years after signing up, kristina emailed, asking me to become a garden girl– i had been a big fan of the girls' work there so i was and am still super giddy about being a part of the team. here's a few layouts i did recently for 2peas:

cha one day
on sunday, i spent a day at cha- browsing the booths and catching up with friends, meeting new ones, oohing and aaahing over paper and stickers 🙂 i always feel funny busting out the camera so here are a few things that caught my eye.
at heidi swapp's booth: 
one of my favorite things to do is see demos with new product. i shop 99% of my supplies online so if i don't see an example of how to use something, i probably won't buy it. but i got to see and try this new product out and i can't wait to get my hands on it! (invisible line by heidi)
her examples were phenomenal and inspires me to dig in my existing HS stash.
i always love the anna griffin booth. the classy feel of it just makes me happy! this is my favorite of their new releases, riley. they even had chairs upholstered with the circus print! cuuuute! 
it was a joy to see this photo i took of the hero bunch at last year's cha- blown up near their booth..as always their make and take tables were packed because they always host the cutest projects! 
for my fellow owl friends:
loved the butterflies at hambly!!! and you can see a little bit of the onesies in the upper left hand corner. their booth was of course beaming with happiness! 
i adore these letter stickers from Prima! they might be hard to see but the way they look on paper afterwards is adorable! there's a little bit of a peek at the top of the photo. 
one of my favorite lines– just happy and cutesy- and called mommy and me! how cute is that!!! from prima.. 
love the new lines from bella blvd- they had the yummiest displays! stephanie is so creative!
im not a big project person but i KNOW i am going to make one of these for our {JAC} studio! how cute would it be to display our different brides on this turny thing?! adorable! 
love the teen lines at making memories- appropriate and tasteful and cute without being overly cutesy.. as is their new travel line!

a lot of the booths had frames like this but sass's whole booth rocked. i love the new mix of brad packs and the papers and embellies- all so cute. look what they had outside their booth. loved it!!
and of course one of my favorite things about CHA- seeing what the marvelous Kim Sabel at KI Memories comes up with 🙂 they have some super cute lines coming out- love the fresh fonts and colors- and the new packaging!!! 
this also took my breath away– seeing my friend's layouts covering a wall-(shannon tidwell) she truly out did herself! i think she needs to do this in her own home! 
i thought i was going to be able to go to the 2p social- but i got my days mixed up.. bummer! i had a great time walking the floors and have the shoulder ache to prove it! some others i loved but didn't get pics of: doodlebugs new lines- the braddies and papers are adorable! and jenni bowlin has some cuuute embellishments! american crafts also didn't disappoint- consistently good stuff coming from them! and i didn't have the patience to sit and view paris- there were too many (taller) people ahead of me, lol :) i am sure there are more but i can't recall as i had very little sleep last night. i love this hobbY!!! 🙂
