this week I did a layout for shannon's class at 2p. cutting out images from patterned papers is one of my favorite things to do so that part was easy. i think the hard part about this layout was that these weren't really my colors. but I went with it anyways and voila!

this was the template I used, here. it made the year in review so much easier, i think i will have to do this from now on! maybe even every month! ha! i used lots of bits from my favorite digital kits, including this one and this one and this one.

i'm excited to have a 3 day weekend. lots of catching up on a whole lot of relaxing ahead 🙂

i did it! i made my first personal layout of the week for 2010.

i'm trying to use up some older products with some of my faves. i can't get enough of these borders!

i'm also going to try and get better at sending the ones i love actual cards in the mail. i love getting mail and i sometimes love making cards. so i put aside some of my favorite scraps and diecuts and card supplies to dig thru when the time comes.

i saw this on stephanie's blog and wanted to do the same! here are some of my favorites from 2009. these are mostly for 2peas and KI.  some are favorite photos or favorite memories. some i just felt real happy after i made them. you know that feeling. 🙂 happy scrapbook feelings 🙂

seeing last year's layouts makes me come to the scrapbook conclusions that: i like white cardstock, i like polka dots, i like bright colors, i really like patterned paper and stickers, and i like to handwrite my journaling. 

i've noticed i didn't do any sort of year in reviews for the kids so that's one of my goals this year. also need more husband layouts in there. even if that means layouts without pictures. so in addition to the 6ish layouts a month that i do for other companies, i am going to be scrapping for myself once a week. i've got 3 more days in this week to get my first layout done!  

maybe it was because i did a december daily album last year. maybe it was because i was trying to fill that album with stuff. i was constantly recording/photographing/jotting down things each day. (i am very sad i didn't do a december daily album this year! i think i might try a summer daily album, a little more time to work on than just the month) 🙂 anyways, i cannot believe it's the last weekend before christmas. i am so happy to have the kids home, to be on vacation, to have family visiting, to go out of town for a bit. i love it. good memory from last year's ice skating in santa monica. we really should go out there and do more. hard when all we want to do is stay inside, drink tea and watch movies and eat snickerdoodles 🙂

i'm way behind on my handmade christmas gifts and still have a few kids to buy for but i am so okay with it. there's still 6 days 🙂

yesterday the garden went up at 2peas!

the theme is 2page layouts. i feel like i haven't done 2pagers in so long! and when trying to do them i kept getting stuck. so i felt like i went back into 2005 and went with the patterned paper combinations, lots of white space and lots of letter stickers. it was fun.

the other day i layed in bed with a ton of my scrapbook albums. i flipped through them all and was just so happy that i have so many memories written down, and embellished with cute papers and stickers 🙂 some of the memories i had already forgotten! i love my hobby! now if i could just get crackin on those christmas presents i am supposed to be making! 🙂

this one's title work was copied from a wells fargo ad. i guess it's supposed to be about saving money and retirement, i like mine better. -gosh that pic is horrible though. can you tell cali is starting to get some grey weather?!

i cannot believe halloween is in a few weeks! i am a big fan of recycling costumes so i am HOPING the kids are gonna go for that too 🙂 kira was jessi when she was 4 and i am so mad that we got rid of it as elsie is requesting jessi this year. ugh. out of the 15 princess dresses she has, she has to pick the cowgirl?

did a digi layout this time around with one of my favorite pictures ever! i've been slacking when it comes to blogging and have been thinking long and hard about whether i should even continue to pay 9.00 a month for a few measley entries. i have been blogging for over 5 years, that's a good chunk of time! i've been looking into turning it into a book, i'd love to have it all bound and pretty for me to hold. i haven't made up my mind yet, i think being in the middle of wedding season and summer, it makes it harder for me to blog consistently. also with facebook and twitter, it's so much easier to post one sentence about my day than a whole blog post, with pictures! hoping that when the kids go back to school, i'll have more time to rediscover my love of blogging. we shall see!

before i left for australia i scrapped my heart out to get my assignments done while i was gone. i almost packed myself a little kit to be able to scrap whenever i got the urge, but the thought of bringing my cutter with me made me decide not to. it's been 3 weeks and i miss my hobby so. i haven't had a ton of computer time so i feel like i've missed out on so much of the daily doses of scrapbooking i normally get. here's a bunch of somewhat recent layouts.
