On a roll this month, too many good sets that I had to play with! I’m always loving the love around this time of year and between Kelly and Tina, I’m more than covered with the cutest Val day sets!

These pics were from a visit to Kira in SD for her bday. Els and I drove down and gave her a sugarfina set that showed that we were going to to see No Doubt in Vegas once Kira came home from college. We went to Vegas (ick) while the boys went to Chicago to look at schools for Caleb. Vegas is gross but our room was big and pretty and the drive was soooo long. I’m thankful for this time with my girls. We didn’t do this kinda stuff enough together.

Els and I met Emily and B at Candytopia in Santa Monica and ate Uovo after, amazing Italian food!

I also feel like I rarely use quotes anymore. Need to get better about that this year! I’m also challenging myself to make more than just my design team quota. So I’m really trying to just make some fun stuff for me. Or others, hence the valentine above 🙂

I love so many of these polaroid pics that Chris took during this time period. Living at Spruce. Els being little and playful. She had a few friends in the neighborhood that we referred to them as scooter gang. So sweet.

I could have used it on a ton of photos around the house but came across this old Polaroid of Elsie making her doll house that I knew I had to use it here! 

Chris bought the frame for the house already assembled but she used paper and other decorations to make it her own.

Pic taken outside Meridian. That beautiful tree. It feels like so long ago (it’s 2025 right now, right before Kira is getting married) to see pics of her with us. Like it’s been so long since she’s lived here but it’s only been 5 years. Why does that feel so long? Maybe because she’s so far away.

One sneak I made with her Around Town set- this is going to be soo useful for me as my husband and I are staycation masters! 🙂 I’m so behind on printing photos, I’ve got loads to order and this set will be golden. All happy things about a NYC trip we took in a passport size Midori Traveler’s Notebook.

Just a quick hello on National Scrapbook Day! I love that I live in a country that celebrates documenting and recording memories. Hope you get some crafting time in today! Thanks for being part of my creative story. xo

Edited: I can’t believe what a chunk of my life has gone to scrapbooking. When we moved to VA and I was alone with babies and Chris at work all day, I somehow found the 2peas message board (sounds ancient and kinda creepy now that I think of it) where there were a bunch of moms who mostly stayed at home, loved photography and loved recording memories. I felt like it was my place immediately. I started and kept going full speed until I didn’t. I’m grateful for that chapter. I won’t be so grateful when I have to go through it all and downsize and figure out what to do with it all because the idea of throwing some of it away literally breaks my heart but I know the kids won’t want all of it. Another project for another day. This blog alone has been a project I needed to do for 10 years or so! See, the time will come 🙂

And eeep! SO fun to see my layout on the front page of the site! yay! 🙂 big smiles!   Happy almost Friday, almost weekend, yayyyyyy! 🙂

Edited: Kira pics from Coachella when she went with Max and Naners. Was Cam there too? I can’t remember him not camping. She planned all her cute outfits. I was stressed while they stayed at Rob’s dad’s house in Palm Springs because Dad and I were supposed to be there with them but we weren’t. But they made it just fine, not surprising. She never went back to Coachella.

Second class from Wilna's Color Theory class! Elsie and I had fun spreading the colors out haphazardly across our pages and stamping into them. We didn't quite get the look we thought we would be it's all good!

It's gonna be a weekend of reading, starting a few days ago! I read one of these already. Are you on Goodreads? If we are friends, there's a high chance I've stalked your feed. I love a good book but I need you to vouch for it first. Most of the books I've picked up are ones that were rated 4 and 5s from people I "know" on GR. Most of the time I agree with them 🙂 I don't like anything too heavy or stale. Gotta keep me interested by Chapter 3 or I'm on to the next one :)
