there was this one time…
Ah, June stamp sets already? How did we get here so quickly?! I have enjoyed playing with these sets this month. These colors are just everything! So fun and happy! 
And it’s been awhile, but I loved decorating my planner for an upcoming trip! 
Holy cow I’m glad I wrote down what we did. I feel like we need to do that trip again.
Hi there! How is it JUNE already?! That means we are halfway done with 2016?! WHAT!!! The acrylic word, the chipboard numbers, the stamp set (make a wish and the candles) I stamped onto the watercolored tabs, the washi and the acetate circles and the specialty paper. LOVE it all!!
This month at Kelly Purkey’s shop, I was able to design a kit and have it come to life! I designed this stamp set and some 4×4 cards. I was inspired by the things I love most: love, home and family. I am so excited to see it and feel it in my hands and USE them! I can’t wait to see others begin to use them. I’ve seen a bit and will compile a blog post on that shortly! Kelly’s stamps and cards this month are so fun. I love the words are the greatest gift card because I am actually always telling my husband, just give me words. He has a gift with the words and I treasure them completely. So this month really hit home for me.
Here’s a little spread I made in my passport size midori. Our oldest daughter is off to University this fall and there are so many feelings that go with that, that I knew I wasn’t ready to dive in and let the tears loose! So starting small with the little passport size I love.

Edited: I can’t believe what a chunk of my life has gone to scrapbooking. When we moved to VA and I was alone with babies and Chris at work all day, I somehow found the 2peas message board (sounds ancient and kinda creepy now that I think of it) where there were a bunch of moms who mostly stayed at home, loved photography and loved recording memories. I felt like it was my place immediately. I started and kept going full speed until I didn’t. I’m grateful for that chapter. I won’t be so grateful when I have to go through it all and downsize and figure out what to do with it all because the idea of throwing some of it away literally breaks my heart but I know the kids won’t want all of it. Another project for another day. This blog alone has been a project I needed to do for 10 years or so! See, the time will come 🙂
I am so excited to announce a new class I will be teaching during the summer at Studio Calico. It’s called Summer of Sketches and is enrolling now! I have an amazing set of contributors who will be joining me and we are going to be doing something fun with the class- it’ll be a sketch class in Round Robin form! It’ll start with a sketch/layout and then we will pass it on to the next person who will then interpret that sketch to their own and pass it on! I’m so excited to see it unfold! (wow, i really ended each sentence with an exclamation point)

Edited: Kira pics from Coachella when she went with Max and Naners. Was Cam there too? I can’t remember him not camping. She planned all her cute outfits. I was stressed while they stayed at Rob’s dad’s house in Palm Springs because Dad and I were supposed to be there with them but we weren’t. But they made it just fine, not surprising. She never went back to Coachella.

There’s photo templates, available in 3×4 and 4×6 sizes, featuring hand drawn script. The individual wordart elements are also included as individual PNG files. I printed a few pieces out for an upcoming trip I’m taking and using my new Passport Size Midori Traveler’s Notebook to keep it all together. I’m beyond excited! 🙂 
Edited: Jon Canlas took that photo of me and dad. Just Cam and Els came all the way down to San Diego to take pics with him that day. He asked us to come for some workshop he was shooting, I think?? We got some nice pics that day. I think Dad and Cam didn’t love them but I did. The city says NYC birthday weekend, I guess the weekend we went when Grampies got sick? It kinda looks like San Fran for dad’s bday but see that’s why we write things down.

Super excited to be taking on new forms of modern memory keeping with the Midori Traveler's Notebook and pocket scrapbooking. I don't think you realize how many 12×12 albums I own, filled to the brim! This has stretched my creativity and I can see memory keeping in different shapes and varieties, not just 12×12 canvases! Love these releases by Paislee Press. Liz's handwriting is one of my favorites so I'm more than happy to include it in my books! Also will need to dip back into this Dwell kit when my house has better light to shoot! This past weekend Southern California decided to have some rain, SO not convenient for my lighting :)
