6×8 handbook, yay!

I'm so excited about this. I have been a 12×12 layout scrapbooker for almost the whole 14 years I've been scrapping. Sometimes I'll do an 8 1/2×11 but for the most part it's the basic paper layout that I have loved. Part of me taking a break a few years ago was because I felt super burned out on the same designs I've been using for so many years. So last year when the planner craze hit and the midori craze hit, I was so excited to take on new forms of memory keeping and documenting. Over the weekend, this beauty arrived. I have been on the fence about any sort of pocket scrapbooking basically since the start but I have to say that this album helped give me a little push 🙂 Also, working with KP and Paislee Press helped too! They use lots of pocket scrapbooking elements so I am excited to keep them all together in this album.  IMG_5834 Here are my first spreads for the book. I love the 6×8 format, it's not too overwhelming. I realize a few years back I did an 8×8 December Daily and I'm surprised it didn't hit me how much I love that format. So here we go!  Paislee_let'stalkabout_layoutbyjamiewaters  Paislee_let'stalkabout_layoutAbyjamiewaters I'll be sharing more bits and pieces of this book along the way! Thanks for looking!

my new hello forever studio calico planner

I received my new planner in the mail last week and I have to admit I've been a bit nervous to dive in! There's something exciting but intimidating about a blank canvas that scares me off! Well we are almost halfway done with February so I knew I needed to get in there and get some groundwork done.  HelloforeverI chose these One Little Bird stamps to fill in my numbers. They were a little big so I had less square space for the calendar but I like them bold like that, I think I prefer that over my own handwriting for the numbers, just a little more uniform.  Screen Shot 2016-02-18 at 12.38.31 PM Happy to report I only made one mistake and that was just leaving the zero off on day 20. Phew! I used this ink and had zero bleed through. Now I just need to add some more color, but wanted to show you before all that took place. 🙂
