getting close

Ticker

i had my monthly visit today and as i was leaving the doc said, 'see you in 2 weeks'. i was totally taken aback because i guess i didn't realize i was almost 30 weeks along. THIRTY WEEKS. that means baby will be here in TEN weeks. why does that seem SO close??! i sorta freaked out. came home and told chris i am not ready. not ready for all the things that come along with a newborn. i know ten weeks really is awhile away, but when you are pregnant for 9 months, ten weeks seems like nothing. i'm also having a C section, so i get to pick my date. that really seems crazy to me. not crazy like- psychotic, but crazy like- i can't believe it. i get to pick the date i get to meet my girl. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!

  7. I know how you feel, Jamie! I’m a day ahead of you and in slight denial that my baby will be here in about 10 weeks!! Yikes!! Hang in there!! Fun that you get to pick your date! ;o)

  8. I know you have NO idea who I am (in short: I scrapbook and found you through Heidi Swapp’s blog), but I just read this entry and had to comment. 🙂 I just recently had my second child, a scheduled c-section. it was totally crazy that I got to pick the date (like you mentioned). …I think it’s much more nerve-racking having an exact date that you KNOW the baby is going to be born on than just being surprised when “the time comes”. it’s nice for planning, but I was so super anxious I couldn’t even sleep the night before. …anyway, I hope the best for you and your family and hope that these coming weeks go as slowly as possible. 😉
