digging

for things to blog about. i’ve been hoarding pics and stories to scrap. and just feeling blah about the blog in general. here’s one- the girls had a playdate yesterday. look how cute they are in their matching babystyle (eeek as i went to link that, i saw that the sale is now to 50% off!)

yeah so i am a total onesie mom. i pretty much leave elsie in her onesie from bedtime unless she drools too much or has an accident… then i put her in another onesie. i looked at her closet full of pretty dresses and decided everytime we go out she will wear a dress. she already does for church, but thought i would go ahead and include trips to the PO and grocery store too. this is what she thinks about the dresses:

and 2 weeks from today… at THIS exact time of the day….

my 3 goobs will be in school.(minus the mohawk!) AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! does it sound like i am sad about that or very excited? it’s very weird because this was to be the time where i would be alone.. maybe get a parttime job or something.. the first time in 11 years to have some me time 5 days a week… but noooo… hello elsie. πŸ™‚ just kidding. i’m very excited to have some alone time with her…but i think she’s going to miss the entertainment the big kids provide. 😦

  1. yeah, i’m with you too jamie. my Poppy wore her babygro’s everyday (sleepsuit) till quite recently when she started making such a mess at breakfast that she needed a change. πŸ™‚ I still lean towards the all in one type outfits though, so much easier πŸ™‚
She really misses her big brother and sister when they are not around too. When i put her in the car she checks out their seats to see if they are there. Very cute. have a great day πŸ™‚

  2. Please don’t be blah about your blog… I love reading your stuff. I love that you use words like “goobs” for your kids. I get inspired by your beautiful photographs. I love love love your scrapbooking (when are you writing a book & can I pre-order now?)
I scrapbook every Sat with a good friend of mine, and we both turn to your work for inspiration… One day I must email you all the pages you’ve inspired. (hug)

  3. I love the oneies. E is growing so fast & too cute! My baby has grown up to age 5 and is a kindergardener (?). Just as the kids go back to school, I start overtime at work and my Fridays are back in the office. Our kids are about the same age and sex.. Alexanderia is 12, Gabriel is 7 and Michael is 5. No more kids as much as I love them, too much work.

  4. oh— I love your work in Ali’s 2nd book. I have scraplifted some of your pages and ideas. Also the recipe article in CK mag. great job & love your LOs. It was also great to see Vanessa’s work. She was the first artist I fell in love with and then she disappeared.

  5. I just had to comment, even though I am a stranger to you. I have two daughters of my own, now grown, but strangly and wonderfully still at home. We also have our very own Brazilian “daughter” to add to our mix. I mention them all only to say that I have shared your site with them for their own encouragement. I presume that it won’t be long before they have families of their own. I have a daughter that is interested in photography and was wondering what camera you were using and is it digital or otherwise. There were plenty of AWWWWWWES all around as we huddled around the computer to view your pages together. Lauren said we were all getting quite “ovary eyed” over your precious children. What a rich blessings our God does gives us from day to day.
Greetings from back East and down South. Janae

  7. Babystyle is so my weakness. I was there today and there in store sale is additional 30% off sale items. I bought a little dress (it’s actually a glorified onesie – a onesie underneath with a dress covering) for $7. Guess that money I saved with that paid for the $8.50 hair clip I bought my 3 month old. LOL. Love the dress Elsie has on – polka dots are so cute!
