weaning stinks

Img_3722

yesterday was day one of weaning from bottle. the daytime was okay. at naptime, i gave her the new sippy cup, she laughed at me like i was crazy for offering it and she rolled over without it and went to sleep. bedtime was alot tougher. she was SO SAD and it made me sad. i suck at weaning my kids from the bottle. it’s the one thing i am a softie at. the other 3 were embarrassingly too old for their bottles.. i just couldn’t do it again. and plus she has her fingers. so that’s her number 1 comfort (oh besides me of course, lol)…so needless to say, these fingers are raw. sores coming from being in the mouth so much because of this weaning crap. 😦 😦
let’s hope tonight goes smoother! she seems to be okay with it in the day.

green is my new pink. love green on her. and she’s currently crazy about flowers and butterflies. oh so girly of her! but yet she knows how to hold her own with the lightsaber… she’s got the ba-ba-baaaaaaa sound effects down too. 🙂

  1. This pic is to adorable. The green Crocs are the best ever. Loving it Jamie. Give a few days, soon enough, the bottle will be a past time. My son did great in about 2 days. Just be patient. She will come around soon.

  3. Did you know that green is my favorite color? I love her in green : ). Loving the green crocs, as well. Alexa starts nodding “no” 10 feet away once she sees the sipper cup coming her way…hmmmmmm I don’t remember how I did that with Sam? If I think of it, I’ll let you know! And if you don’t know what to do with all your adorable girls’ clothes, pass it down to Alexa! : )

  6. okay you are making me feel guilty about ava, she will be 6 in july, and she still sometimes drinks a bottle. granted, it’s only once a day or a few times a week and she says she is playing “baby” but we all know she isnt lOL! she nursed til she was 3 years old also. gosh i feel guilty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but her teeth are fine, not a bit turned in. probably cause she didn’t go to the bottle til age 3 and it was only ever one a day……
    love her shirt!
