part of me

B541f4aweb

wants to be a country girl. not as in country music. but live in the country— at least in a place that has cranberry filled lakes (did you know they were called bogs??!–hehe-thanks readers) and lush trees that change colors… maybe a few inches of snow every now and then… but miles of traffic free roads… smog free views… a place where my kids could run free in the yard and come in with muddy faces and treasures of sticks and stones. i have a love/hate relationship with the whole Hollywood thing here…the pace of it all…it’s go go go.

but i would sure miss my pinkberry and dots.

this was taken at some big oceanspray event — and elsie really wanted to wear lots of stripes that day. and apparently isn’t used to other people taking her picture besides me or dad. πŸ™‚

  1. come to new hampshire, i know it would be too cold for you. maybe you need to think of a vacation out this way-come to boston and you can drive all over the place in the fall.

  2. that was just how i grew up, and i LOVED IT! so so MUCH!! but now i have been away from it longer than i lived in it and i am a suburban girl now. can’t stand the country LOL!>>>
i don’t like to get dirty!
but we do go up every now and then and my kids have a ball, picking apples, blackberries, rasberries, strawberries(depending on the time of year) and 4-wheeling! just take a trip where you can do all that stuff every now and then! they can have the best of both worlds!

  3. If I could move out of the city into the country I would in a heartbeat. I would love to be able to let my kids roam free and get dirty! Live in nature and breath the fresh air. I WILL someday! = )

  4. that would be nice, wouldn’t it? I’m all for the smog-free, traffic-free, roam-where-you-want-to kind of environment.
and where is this cranberry bog you were at anyhow? I probably would’ve been swimming through that bog with my mouth open…
love Elsie’s stripes! she can still get away with it at her age…

  6. i live in such a place exactly as you described! cranberry bogs are 20 minutes away. the leaves change in the fall. we get a few days of snowfall but hardly bitter cold winters. housing subdivisions neighbor operating family farms. we still have access to the cities of Philadelphia and New York, but the traffic is nothing like SoCal’s! care to visit this blog fan in South Jersey? =)

  7. Come move up here and you could live out in Hokinson or Brush Prairie and be in the country somewhat but still be near family and the city….or just near me. Could I replace the cranberry bog….hahahhahh.
    love ya!
You & Else are too cute! Love seeing you on here too!
