today i took over 50 photos of elsie splashing in the puddles with the gorgeous 8 am light…then for the first time in the 3 years that i have been using digital.. the card got corrupted as i was downloading them. i feel like i have been in a photo rut and i was really happy with these so.. my heart aches. 😦

oh that stinks! I am not a morning person so the fact that you got out there picture ready at 8am is an accomplishment. Hope you get to make more memories with Elsie and the puddles tomorrow (and if not tomorrow, for sure this week because it’s supposed to be a wet one)!

omg – I just lost a bunch of photos myself. i hate when that happens!!
p.s. sometimes I make my own puddles with a hose! sofi loves to jump in puddles….

Oh dear that is bad!! Have you tried again?? Sometimes my card says it’s corrupt (freaking me out) and I take it out – try and blow dust off the connector bit – and reinsert it- and it’s fine. Just a thought.

My computer guy has a program that can retreive photos from a memory card even after it’s been deleted. I wonder if something like that might work?

The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago… all you need is an Image Rescue program. I ran it and poof there they were along with some old pictures that I had deleted. Try it! Not sure what kind of card you have but I got mine Program sent free from Lexar.. I emailed them and they said it should have come with my card. Hope it works. = )

have you tried CardRecovery? i downloaded it off the net and it recovered corrupted files off my cf card . . . huge relief . . . 😀
