so thanks to my sensible husband, i realized i might have been a bit hasty with that earlier post. bottom line is that i am a mother who loves her kids, and NO ONE MESSES WITH ELSIE! lol
there’s so much to love about our scrapbooking community but lots that goes on that make grown women look like teenagers…and i have been around to see lots unfold. i usually stay away from the drama but you can’t help but get all riled up when someone points fingers at your child. 🙂 so there you go. im a rule follower and wouldn’t bring her and im sane. i want to enjoy the show without having to stop and change a diaper. 🙂
i’m scrapping this picture tonight and getting ready for my son’s 7th birthday on friday.
thanks to all the truffle recommendations. im pretty sure chris and i know what we’re getting each other for valentines day. LOL keep em coming.. there’s many more holidays coming up. ha!

sweet pic!!
i can see how easy it’d be to
let the momma bear out
when sucky commenters act like 7th graders.
(not to insult 7th graders…)

I don’t like it when women don’t support other women. It is normal to feel envy of others but why be petty and jealous and try to knock others down?
Anywhoo – your daughter is just too cute! I love your work, I hope you come out with a book someday!

I must have missed some of the gossip. I read your blog daily and I am amazed with how wonderful of a mother you are, how you juggle your family, scrapbooking, and photography and nothing appears to be comprimised. It is wonderful to see how much your husband and children adore you. Keep your headup cause no matter what anyone may say at the end of the day it’s your family that matters most! Your scrapbooking family adores you too!

I once heard something that has helped me write off many aggressive people’s behaviors. “There are people who confuse opinion with conviction.” That statement explains why some people open their mouths, and emit hurtful words.
When I have kids someday, I hope that someone will be able to say something regarding me taking my child somewhere, even if they refer to it as a bad thing. It will mean that they know I invest in my kids, and spending time with them is definitely something I might dare to do. So many parents miss what you capture in your kids lives.
It’s vulnerable raising kids in front of the watchful eyes of others…not looking forward to that part. But statements that are not uplifting and constructive in nature usually evidence dissatisfaction in one’s own life, which is probably the case with your commenter so full of “conviction.” Just a few thoughts coming from someone who has only been encouraged by your example of what motherhood can be.
