today i cut off over 10 inches of my hair.
im going to send it to locks of love. that's a good thing. i know. but now it's short. shorter than i requested. i think the whole reason i let my hair go so long is because i have yet to find someone who cuts my hair right. i have thick hair and to cut it you need to know what you're doing. this is today's cut.
not really how i wanted it, especially since i said i wanted it to go past my shoulders. im glad it's short because it's so hot already.. but im already missing it long. im wondering why i just didnt go in and ask for 5 inches off instead of the whole chunk?
i know. it'll grow back.
good news today: the new coldplay is out. 🙂

that’s jamie circa 1980’s
looks nice jame.

There is nothing like a bad haircut to make you grumpy. However, I think it’s gorgeous and looks really thick and luscious.

It sucks when you walk out of the hairdresser not happy. Yes it grows back, but not straight away!! For what it’s worth though, i think it looks great.
And Coldplay – YAY!!!!!

I absolutely LOVE it! i totally understand about the thick hair – mine is thick, too (and slightly curly) so it is a pain to get a proper cut 🙂

My sis did the same thing with her hair and I think its a wonderful thing to do. I, personally, LOVE to chop off my hair. Johnny hates it bc he likes it when my hair is long and feminine but when I have a stressful week, nothing feels better than a fresh haircut! 🙂 Your new haircut looks great, I think!!

Hi Jamie. Same thing happened to me last year!!! I decided to cut my hair short, just enough for locks of love. The lady cut my hair really short. Same thing, I wanted it past my shoulders. Oh well. 🙂 I have thick hair too, so when it is short, it is poofy! 😛

You didn’t ask for 5 because then you wouldn’t have been able to donate it to Locks of Love! It’s a great thing to donate! Just think of the people that will get your hair and how happy it will make them! Plus…you look totally cute with your shorter do!

Your new haircut is darling! And I totally know what you mean about the stylist having to know how to cut thick hair. Oh, I got a reeeeeally bad haircut once! So bad, we were tempted to let my HUSBAND attempt to at least straighten it out a bit!!! Figured he couldn’t really make it worse! LOL!

Look at it this way, there is a little girl somewhere out there who will be SO grateful for her little wig. The first time I cut my hair for Locks of Love I had to cut it right under my ears in order to get 10 inches, moms at my daughter’s school whispered until I mentioned why I did it. Now I am missing 2 inches and back to super short hair again. Oh well! It will grow back and I will make another child happy.

Your hair looks great Jamie! I’ve been growing my hair out for Locks of Love for nearly two years now (I’ve had it trimmed two times) and it’s still not quite long enough. Hopefully by this fall! LOL. The older I get the slower my hair grows….grr… anyways TFS the pics of Kira’s party. I’m glad the party and photoshoot went well!

It’s darling Jamie!! I also did Locks of Love a couple of years ago and it felt REALLY weird to have my hair short (it was just below my shoulders)but remember the child you will make SO happy, AND, trust me, it grows back before you know it!! I love that you did it!
