i spent my national scrapbook day in newport beach at reflections. we taught photography/scrapbooking workshops and it was awesome. the ladies were attentive, laughed at chris' jokes, and made pretty things with cute supplies. i got to see my good friends shannon and brooke and even one of our future brides! i still need to go through some of our weekend pictures, but thought i'd share some of my 2p layouts that went up on the first. since it was NSD, the GG's posted layouts by members we are inspired by. gluestick girl:

I started scrapbooking to make an album for my boyfriend and I over 10 years ago… he’s now my husband and all my scrapbooks are “written” to him, to remember our journey together.

I love this hobby because through it I met some wonderful friends and it gives me a chance to play with a lot of awesome stuff (though my bank account has suffered quite a bit!)

I love scrapbooking and being our family historian. I take lots of pictures and I’m able to keep them in a single place for everyone to enjoy, including my 10 year old boy that loves looking at his album… Thanks for the giveaway…

I love scrapbooking because it gives me a creative and expressive way to share my thoughts and feelings through pictures and words. I hope that one day my children will look back at the scrapbooks I have made for them and know they were loved. I hope they will pass them down so my future generations will know a little bit of what our life was like.

I love that this hobby is about recording stories. And it helps that I LOVE taking pictures and with 3 kids have a lot of stories to tell. And all the pretty things that I get to use. It just makes me happy inside.

I love that scrapbooking helps me relive memories over and over. I love creating useful things. I love that when my family looks at my pages they remember parts of the story that I had forgotten. I love that there are no rules and every way is the right way to scrapbook.

I’ve been scrapbooking since 2005 and cannot tell you how much I enjoy this hobby. My three children have given me plenty of material to “play” with. Love the process, the outcome, the preserved memories, the new products, old products… everything about it!

I love this hobby so much because it allows me to stop time! I am having so much fun scrapbooking older pictures of my boys. The boys are 14 and 17, and I just did a page of them when they were 3 and 6. It’s so much fun! I agree, we are lucky to have this hobby!

I love this hobby because it gives me the opportunity to buy cool tools! No, really, it also allows me to reflect how important each memory recorded is. It relaxes me, when my days are full with real life, working with pregnant and parenting teens in the home i run, and then come home to three of my own!

Happy NSD! Scrapbooking is a fun way to document life and hang out with friends. =) I like to make cards and have only made maybe 1 layout… I have the ideas swirling in my head, but I think I need a push! =)

I started scrapbooking about 9 years ago – it was about the stickers then. Now it’s about the pictures and the stories you get to tell and freeze in time forever. Plus you still get to play with paper and glue!

I LOVE this hobby because it gives me some time to just be me – no meals to prepare, no chores to do, no deadlines from the office. Just me time doing what I want to do, how I want to do it. My BFF is also a scrapbooker, but she lives far away so we get together 2 – 3 times a year and crop our hearts out. We use it to catch up and reconnect. The best part is we get to share the stories that we missed since the last time we were together.

I have lots of hang ups when it comes to scrapbooking–feeling behind, etc… But I love, love, LOVE scrapbooking because it is the one area of my life where I have total control. I get to be as creative as I want to be. I get to use whatever products I want. And I get to tell our stories the way I want. As a freelance writer, it’s nice not to have to worry about rewrites. 🙂

I started scrapping to document life… I take SO many pictures and I love being able to look back at all of the memories. Children grow so fast and I know I wouldn’t remember many of the things that have gone on in our lives over the years…the little things that happen in our lives on a daily basis.
